GCSE – Energy transfers

This section will cover the idea of energy transferring from one form into another. This happens all around each and every one of you all the time. The extremely important rule that is important to this area of physics is as follows:
Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred from one form to another.

Here are some examples of how energy is transferred from one form to another:


Chemical energy –> Electrical energy

The chemicals inside the battery will be released into the circuit which in turn will produce an electrical current (Electrical energy).
